I’ve had a CPAP for like 2 years now and have hated it the whole time. It does work but I have myriad issues that wake me up and when that happens I can never get back to sleep with it on.
So now TAP is an option. My insurance will “cover” it but the out of pocket cost is still $1900. Furthermore, I’m borderline as to the doctor’s standards of TAP efficacy meaning it’s possible (perhaps likely?) we’ll have to turn to a hybrid approach. And that’s another $850.
This is within my means but I’d haaaaaaaate to shell out all that cash for something that ultimately doesn’t work or just pisses me off as much as my CPAP.
Any thoughts from people with experience would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
