I have OSA and have recently gotten a mandibular advancement device. It seems to be helping a lot, as I use a snore app and it shows I don’t snore any more. However, I am finding I am getting up 3 times a night to use the bathroom. (Had my bladder checked and it’s all good) The first 2 times, I can fall back asleep quite quickly, the third time takes me a bit longer but I eventually fall asleep. I only drink water one and a half hours before bed and I don’t have any caffeinated drinks. No blue light before bed . I definitely feel a lot better, as I use to wake up early mornings and couldn’t go back to sleep. I have also tried sleeping with and without sleeping pills… same results.
For those of you who have been successful with a machine or mouthguard, was the first week or two also similar for you? Is my body just trying to readjust to some sleeping patterns?
