I had a at home apnea test in October. My results: 6.6ahi…..2.9 on side and 15 on back. I read that at home tests underestimate the severity of apnea and my doc confirmed this. Basically, at home tests record the total time you’re in bed and don’t account for the time you are actually asleep. As a result, the results are less than a in lab test. I also had a very difficult time sleeping. It recorded for like 8.5 hours and I know I wasn’t sleeping for more than 7 of it maybe more. I took forever to fall asleep and woke up several times. Anyways, has anyone had a more severe result from an in lab test vs an at home test. I can’t afford an in lab which is 3k. Thanks everyone:)
