Hey guys. I was diagnosed with OSA in February from an at home test. My ahi was 28. I never got to do my in lab overnight study because of covid. I asked if in the meantime they could send me an auto cpap and they finally did. I was waking up every day feeling awful and praying I would get the cpap soon. So when I got it I hoped I would have the best nights sleep of my life like a lot of you have posted about here.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. When I first put it on it was hard to get used to breathing out. It felt like a lot of resistance but I’m not sure if I’m able to change that on my machine. I have a nasal pillow and it was really hurting the bottom of my nose and my nostrils. I woke up a few times in the night in pain. At 4 am finally when it woke me up I took it off. I couldn’t stand it anymore. I’m so disappointed. I know it can take time to get used to, but does anyone have any tips or advice? Has anyone else had a bad start but ended up getting used to it?
