I’ve lived in Denver for 10 years now, and have never been able to run outside for longer than a few minutes before having to walk. I’ve always thought it was the low oxygen levels that made running so difficult.
I’ve been on APAP therapy since September 2019 and today I completed a 6.5 mile run without stopping. I believe the reason I’m able to do this is because my heart is less strained when I sleep.
I got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea — 40+ AHI. Now my AHI is consistently less than one.
It’s amazing to be able to run again.
