I’ve been meaning to get a sleep study, just because I am always tired no matter how much I sleep. But I may be jumping on that even quicker after last night.
So, this isn’t the first episode I’ve had like this, though, it’s very rare. Up until now I have brushed it off as sleep paralyses, and idk, maybe it is just that. Anyways, I woke up and couldn’t breath, and also couldn’t move (which is why I assumed sleep paralysis before) it didn’t last long at all, maybe two seconds but it was still very scary. I always get freaked out and feel like I’m dying when this happens, and try to yell, but of course nothing comes out. I eventually get a gasp of breath, then start breathing normally again and feel fine. This has probably only happened like 2 or 3 other times that I recall.
I used to have dreams I was underwater occasionally, and would wake up gasping like I was actually holding my breath. But that’ hasn’t happened in a while.
So, if it’s possibly sleep apnea I’ll just bite the bullet and get a sleep study. Otherwise I can not afford a penny more of medical debt. I know yall aint doctors, and I know yall cant tell me for sure. I just want input because I’m quaking at the thought of a medical bill.
