I’m helping my mom get a CPAP, according to her study her apnea is very severe. I got a call from the provider’s receptionist to schedule the fitting (Rotech) and she told me on the downlow and she ended up whispering “pick the machine you want…not what they say is best, don’t say I told you this though” – this made me quite wary of the integrity of the provider.

I don’t have experience with DME provides or CPAPs, honestly I just want the best most comfortable machine for my mom. We ended up with this DME provider because that’s what the doctor suggested – not sure if she can access other suppliers or what machines to avoid or what to ask for.

Any guidance is appreciated!
