I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea years ago, which I suspect has become more severe (I’m waking up every 90 minutes at the moment). I will be doing a take-home sleep study soon to re-evaluate (proper overnight sleep studies are not available due to COVID).
However, I have also developed an inner ear syndrome called superior canal dehiscence syndrome, which is an opening on the bone surrounding the inner ear. Some people in a support group I am part of suspect that CPAP machines can make this syndrome worse, while others haven’t had any issues with them.
Are there any CPAP machine experts that know if the machine can increase pressure on the inner ear? Thanks!
