I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with severe sleep apnea; 772 events over the course of 8 hours, or 96 events per hour. The doctor ordered a full face CPAP, since I have trouble not breathing through my mouth, and I just got to use it for the first time last night.
I only got 6 1/2 hours of sleep due to a work emergency call but, according to the app, I had an average of 8.6 events an hour! I honestly thought it was going to be horrible because of how I breathe but I feel so refreshed compared to how I have felt each day for years.
My only real concern is that I received a low score for leaks and I’m not sure what to do about it. As I said, if a full face CPAP and I could definitely feel air escape as I was trying to fall asleep. Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated because, honestly, even the success I had on the first night has me on the verge of tears, I’d like it to continue to get better.
