Did a in home test last week. Reported to have 17 AHI with my lowest oxygen saturation level being 84%. I’ve been recommended to get an Auto CPAP; the process to get one hasn’t started yet. Since then I’ve been intentional about sleeping on my side throughout the night. This has led to some mixed results to say the least as I haven’t discerned any decrease in daytime symptoms in severity.
My question is whether altering sleep position leads to consistent improvement of apnea events to the extent where a CPAP machine is unnecessary? I’ve heard other behavioral changes such as losing weight can assist similarly–which I’d certainly benefit from.
