64 obstructive apneas/hour on my back. Not overweight, regular sized neck, etc. Don’t fit any of the signs of sleep apnea. I’m 37 now and probably had this since my early teenage years.

On top of that, I have roughly 10 centrals per hour. Getting a BiPap tomorrow. I’m hoping it is an ST model and not just an S. I contacted my doc office via email with specific requests of info asking which model it is and they stated that based on the info from my recent sleep study (titration study) I would be issued a fitting machine. ST is the only model that I know of that would support central sleep apnea.

Is there any medical issue as a result of using what is basically a backup non-invasive ventilator? It is otherwise like an APAP with capability to help kickstart breathing, right?
