Hey. I was just recently diagnosed with central sleep apnea and ever since my diagnosis a few days ago, I’ve had severe insomnia. Now, whenever I try to go to sleep, I’m already up in two minutes or less because my breathing obviously stops. My pulse oximeter sees me drop to the low 80’s and high 90’s. I can’t even sleep because of this, even when I’m not anxious. After this occurs for too long, I begin crying and panicking. I think I get an hour of sleep at night. Can sleeping pills help me actually get to sleep, or is it going to make me suffocate when I’m at rest?
Please, please get back to me. I’m desperate to get sleep, even if it’s bad sleep. I’m halfway convinced this is going to kill me.
