I know this post is long, but please read it, I would go to my doctor if I could, but since I live in Italy I can’t as of now due to the covid situation.

Hello everyone, I’m a 22yo male, 304 lbs (138kg) ideal weight should be 240lbs (110kg) according to my dietician, he evaluated my muscular mass, body composition and fat percentage and came to that conclusion, saying that a bmi measurement isn’t reliable in my case due to my body constitution. (I’m talking about my weight because I know obesity may cause sleep apnea.

I’ve had countless exams because throughout the day I felt chest pain, severe headaches, shortness of breath and the feeling of being unable to take a deep breath. I’ve visited cardiologists, neurologists, a rheumatologist, I’ve done countless blood tests and God knows what else everything was perfectly fine) But then, a few weeks ago my girlfriend told me she was woken up by basically me sounding like I was suffocating (it didn’t wake me up) so I added up that and the fact that I snore A LOT and so I went to a otolaryngologist. He did a rhinoscopy and lo and behold did he found many things that weren’t okay: hypertrophic tonsils, deviated nasal septum, uvula hypertrophy, hypertrophy at the lingual base, suspected obstructive sleep apnea.

Sadly, as I wrote before, I live in Italy, so I can’t get an overnight pulse oximetry due to the covid situation, and I can’t get my tonsils removed either.

My question is, except of losing weight (I’ve lost 11lbs/5kgs in the last month) is there anything else I can do? I have to wait until March/April I’m order to do further tests. So any advice/home remedy would be helpful. If you read this whole post, I am very grateful for your attention. It means a lot to me.
