Hello first my name is Nicole. I am 37 and roughly 60lbs overweight. I just went over the results today of my sleep study by phone. I had an in lab sleep study 2 weeks ago. I have a mild to moderate sleep apnea. It’s obstructive and way worse when I sleep on my back. I just have a couple questions.
- Is that a typical finding, that the apnea would be worse in certain positions?
- What type of face mask do you use, did you try a couple before you found one you like?
- How soon after starting CPAP therapy did you begin to feel better?
- If you were overweight did you find therapy aided in weight loss? I only ask this because I am really struggling to loose weight and I have read sleep apnea can hinder weight loss.
