I just got my first CPAP machine a few days ago, the kind were I’ll be getting the oxygen through the nose only. I gave it a try at doc’s office and it felt so weird on my face and having to breathe through my nose with my mouth closed (which incidentally is just the way I breathe everyday anyway).
I feel like I’m not gonna sleep well with it and feeling a bit nervous to get started. I don’t like having things on my face or head as a general rule, and even less when I sleep.
Do you have any tips on how to overcome this and ensure a good night sleep? Any special nighttime routines that have helped you sleep better in general and with the machine in particular?
I read many stories of people still struggling with their sleep apnea despite using the machines so i’d love to hear from those who have found success and what have you done to achieve that.
