I have difficulty breathing through my nose. I’m pretty certain this is the main contributor for my apnea. I also have a huge tongue haha ~215 lb 5’8″: overweight male

I’ve had:

  • balloon sinuplasty (the best)

  • Septoplasty

  • Tonsillectomy

  • Uvuloplasty/ UPPP ( twice)

  • Adenoidectomy

  • Turbinate reduction (twice)

Local allergy test negative, ENT says in have allergies(I agree now), but he refused full panel test

  • Claritin, Zyrtec, allergy drops don’t help

  • I’m not sure flonase does anything for me..?

  • Afrin works, but I only use it one to two days every few months. ( I woke up today wondering why I could breathe- forgot I put in after before bed ¯_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

  • TAP/oral device helps but not really

  • CPAP is ehhh for me (camping, travel, etc…)

  • Weight reduction helps a lot, but I’m still fat right now ¯_(ツ)_/¯

ENTs haven’t listened when I say I have trouble breathing through my nose and always focus on my throat.

The question: any advice on opening up my nose without drugs? How about with drugs? Anybody with a similar experience? I’m open to surgery again. Any advice on conversations with ENT? Thanks, I like breathing.
