Hi folks. My mom (74) is on APAP, and her doctor suggested that she do an at-home test to see if she needs supplemental oxygen. The company that is supposed to provide the test is now booking out for several months. I gave her my pulse oximeter, and sure enough, her oxygen is dumping big-time throughout the night.
My question is, does anybody know the possibility of getting supplemental oxygen (would be through medicare) if she doesn’t have a formal test? Also, is it possible to get the oxygen (I assume they deliver it or something) without having someone come in her house to train her on how to use it? We’re not taking any risks of exposing her to anyone during the Covid outbreak.
Thanks for any suggestions you can give!
