There is something that has never logically checked out with me about OSA exercises. I’ve started doing them recently and they do seem to be helping a little.
If the problem is your muscles relaxing why would strengthening those muscles help? A strong muscle that is relaxed is just like a weak muscle that is relaxed only bigger, no?
Sort of foreshadowed above; aren’t strong muscles bigger? If your goal is freeing up more real estate for air to pass through; bigger muscles don’t seem like the answer.
All online articles and even doctors I’ve spoken to talk about this as if it’s some conventional wisdom written in stone “strengthen your muscles”. Can an Icelandic strong man deadlift more than me while he’s sleeping?
