For a very long time I have had unrefreshing sleep in the sense that I suffer daytime fatigue and exhaustion. I have suspected that this may be caused by sleep apnea; however, while I have not had a sleep study my SpO2 rate on my fitness device appears to be normal and a sleep recording app did not record any snoring (but I have read that SpO2 and snoring are not absolutely determinative of sleep apnea).
I also suffer from IBS, psoriasis and low mood.
I am finding this to be a bit of a “cart before the horse” situation. I cannot tell whether:
- I am suffering from symptoms of depression because of sleep apnea; or
- I have depression only which is causing unrefreshing sleep and I do not have sleep apnea.
