I got diagnosed with sleep apnea about a month ago (severe OSA) and got a CPAP two weeks ago. I have been trying to wear the mask more each night, but I can’t stand it. 30 minutes is the longest I’ve gone and I was tense and anxious the whole time.

Going to bed now fills me with anxiety about wearing the mask and whether I’m doing something wrong that makes it so uncomfortable, and worrying about health problems if I can’t ever get used to wearing it.

Anyone have words of wisdom or ideas I can try? I have a nasal mask that just goes under my nostrils and is supposed to be unobtrusive, but I feel like I’m being suffocated by it and it’s pressing up so hard against my nose that it hurts.
