I’m a 26 year old male in very good health, so I don’t go to the doctor fairly often. I went recently and explained my long history of snoring and reported trouble breathing as well as family history of sleep apnea. After a take home sleep test, I was not all that shocked to find I had fairly bad apnea and oxygen desaturation and was recommended to use an APAP.
As a young, unmarried man, the idea of having a machine is almost as bad as the thought of putting my wife through the snoring – which leads me to my question of further alternatives to solve this problem. Has anyone had success with surgical alternatives? Any feedback would be appreciated.
