I downloaded the app Dream Talk because I wanted to verify that I was talking in my sleep. I got to hear my nocturnal mumbling which was funny, but I also got to hear myself “puffing” short exhalations. I have other health problems that preclude asking MD for a sleep study right now, but the app really alerted me to the fact that there’s something wrong with how I sleep. Will be having my doc listen to it at the next opportunity.
Basically the way it works is before you go to bed, you set it to start recording a several-hour window before you sleep, , say from 3-6am. Keep your mobile device nearby, and it sound-activates. Stops recording when all is quiet. So you can hear yourself later.
