Pretty new to CPAP. In July I had my first incidence of Afib. Given my young age, my cardiologist was concerned I had OSA which can cause Afib.
Did a sleep study and came back with an AHI of >100 (I think it may have been 130ish?) either way the number I was told was I “stopped breathing roughly every 30 seconds”
Surprising, considering i didn’t feel like I had the symptoms of severe sleep apnea.
I just finished day 2 of my cpap therapy, and while I don’t feel any different yet, the numbers at least look good!
I’ve had AHIs of 0.9 and 0.6. I’m surprised such a little machine could make such a big difference in apnea occurrences.
