(In Canada) CPAPs are typically covered every 5 years and Masks every 6 months under your benefits, 90% of the time. They usually match your insurance maximums so you aren’t out of pocket. Some insurances don’t even cover online machines, then you have to figure out program it.
These sleep companies don’t get funded through provincial gov’t and also employ respiratory therapists and respirologists plus usually give your sleep tests for free and do unlimited consultations and warranty replacements…Yada yada. I didn’t have insurance and my sleep company took like $700 off total price to help me out.
Why is it such a shock they aren’t in business out of their own good will? CPAP pressures are prescribed and the downloads can show types of breathing patterns that don’t respond well with certain settings. Food for thought.
