I had a sleep study done, and it came out that I don’t have sleep apnea. However, the doctor said apneas normally occur during REM, and I barely got any. I got a total 20 minutes of REM and 20 minutes of deep sleep. (You’re supposed to get 2 hours of REM and 1-2 hours of deep sleep).
Does anyone have any idea why I get so little? I’m constantly completely exhausted – it’s miserable. I asked the doctor why i had so little deep / REM sleep, but he just tried to convince me that I have anxiety (which I don’t), and was very unhelpful. I also practice very good sleep hygiene. Any ideas? Could this be a sleep disorder?
